CETAER, a company focused on advancing innovative projects within the transportation sector to a commercial level, has established a partnership with Técnicas Reunidas to create an e-methanol plant in Almería, Spain.

This facility is anticipated to produce 37,000 tons annually of e-methanol by using 7,200 tons of renewable hydrogen combined with 54,000 tons of CO2 captured from industrial processes. The operational commencement is scheduled for 2026.

The initiative, named «Nascar,» encompasses the initial phase that involves configuring the plant, preparing technical documentation for permits, and conducting a feasibility study. Subsequent stages of the agreement will encompass providing FEED (Front-end Engineering Design) and EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) services, respectively.
