Tabernas, a town that has been a trailblazer in solar energy research in Europe for half a century, might take a new leap as a champion of renewable energies by setting up the province’s first green hydrogen plant to produce methanol.
This initiative, known as the Nascar project, has secured a subsidy of 15 million euros from the Ministry of Ecological Transition and aims for a total investment up to 2026 of 170 million euros.
